"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

cuddle bug
It's tiring, it's tiring and IT'S TIRING but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Ever since he moved to a big boy bed and was able to get out of bed in the middle of the night and walk to mommy and daddy's room, Maddox has done just that nearly every night since! I know most books would say we're doing the polar opposite of the right thing and could probably list a thousand reasons why we should have forced him, a long time ago, to stay in his own bed through the night but to be totally honest I never wanted to! Sure, Maddox takes up more then his fair share of the bed and Brandon has to move to the sofa to finish the night with any amount of decent sleep but there's something about the fact that your baby still wants to cuddle with you that just melts this mama's heart. Maybe he'll have trouble sleeping alone when he's older and maybe he won't but regardless I know that my boys and I have a very special and comforting relationship right now and I wouldn't give that up for anything!
