When your son comes out of the kitchen and says "I was getting a cup out of the cabinet and accidentally hit your flowers...some of the petals fell off..." that actually means "I practically trampled your flowers to death and there is nothing left. You will have to throw them away..." Ha! Ash left me this lovely surprise a few weeks ago and while he did warn me that "some of the petals" had fallen off of my flowers I wasn't prepared for the scene that awaited me! It was a floral blood bath! Goodbye pretty flowers...it was nice knowin' ya...
