When we got back to the hotel, Maddox literally DUG INTO his cake! He had been too busy at the reception to really care about any of the food, but once he realized how hungry he was he couldn't wait any longer to take a huge bite out of the yummy cake!

welcome to the family!
This weekend, we traveled to Fort Collins, CO to attend the wedding of Brandon's older brother, Nathan! It was a LONG drive (it took us 13 hours to get there) but we were excited for the events of the weekend and I was excited to see my little men as ring bearers! We had a great time at Nathan and Dana's rehearsal picnic (sorry I don't have pics) and the boys did GREAT walking down the aisle at the rehearsal! Finally, the big day arrived and I almost teared up as Ashtyn and Maddox transformed into the cutest ring bearers of all time! Wouldn't you agree?!
As we got Ashtyn dressed, Brandon helped him put on his shirt, tie, vest and then suit coat and as Brandon put the coat on Ashtyn said "I'm wearing alot of clothes!" HA! He was so right!
Brandon took the boys to the church for pictures while I helped Glenda decorate at the reception hall. When I arrived, the boys had on their boutineers and were finished taking pictures! But I still had to get a few of my own!
At promptly 1PM, the ceremony began. Glenda and Dana's cousin lit family candles.
Brandon, acting as best man, walked down the aisle with Dana's maid of honor!
And then Ash and Maddox came down the aisle next! Too sweet!
Nathan and Dana were married in a catholic ceremony. The church and ceremony were beautiful. I participated in the wedding by doing a reading in front of the church. I was really nervous and hoped I would remember all I needed to do, but I think I did okay!

Finally, Nathan and Dana are married! Welcome to the family Dana!
After the ceremony, everyone headed outside to blow bubbles and wait for the newlyweds to leave the chapel. Ashtyn got caught in a picture perfect moment!
And then he was joined by the flower girl, Finley!

Once most of the crowd had headed to the reception, the family and wedding party went back into the church for more pictures! When the "real" photographer didn't need us, I took some candid shots on my own...

Nathan and Dana rode away from their reception on a bicycle built for two (cute huh!?) and during their pictures they had the photographer take some of them with the ring bearers and flower girl on the bike!

The reception was beautiful! Glenda had decorated the whole thing (way to go Glenda!) and everything looked perfect!
When the bride and groom arrived it was time to eat!!!
After lunch, Nathan and Dana came to each table and cut a cake that served as the centerpiece for each table! It was a really cute idea! This was their version of a procession line. Instead of having everyone line up to say hello to them they just came to each table to serve us cake and that was our chance to say congratulations! Oh! And the cake was yummy too!
After cake, the real party began! Everyone began to mingle and visit!

All the kids, that attended the wedding, received a goodie bag at the reception, to keep them busy, and inside Ashtyn's bag was a notepad and pen! Ash was more excited about that gift then anything else in his goodie bag and took it upon himself to go from person to person, at the reception, and take their "order". Now, the food was buffet style so their were no orders to take, but Ash found something to keep him busy! Whatever someone ordered he would draw a picture of it in his notepad!
As the music began, Tyler and Maddox made their way to the dance floor! It was more like Tyler swinging Maddox around but they both had fun! April and I just watched and laughed!

After mommy taking so many pictures, the boys wanted to take some of their own! Here is the reception from Ashtyn and Maddox's point of view...

The boys were getting VERY tired but we were trying to hold out until after the cake cutting and first dances before we took them back to the hotel! Finally, they announced for everyone to make their way to the dance floor! Nathan and Dana cut their wedding cake and SMASHED it into each other's face!
Then Nathan and Dana had their first dance as a married couple! They danced to a jazzy version of "Bicycle Built of Two". So fitting!
Then Glenda Danced with Nathan!
Maddox is definitely ready to get home...
Once all the guests were unleashed on the dance floor, we made our way back to the hotel to let the boys swim, as promised...
But not before we got some treats to go! Nathan is a really good cook and he had baked dozens and dozens of different types of cookies and placed them on a table at the reception along with different types of candies for people to take home! You gathered your own treats in these little bags which said "So Sweet of You to Come" on them!
On Sunday, we headed back to Oklahoma. Unfortunately, this is as close to the mountains of Colorado that we got on this trip. So sad. We are hoping to go back as soon as possible, though, to visit Uncle Nay Nay and Aunt Dana and also visit these mountains!

What a wonderful wedding! I am beyond impressed. You and Glenda did a fantastic job on the reception decor. The boys looked so very handsome. Looks like Ashtyn already has the ladies following him (at the bubbles). (The look on his face is priceless) It looked like an absolutely fantastic day. Congrats to the Knight family.
Very nice..I love the new color themes...brown must be the new black...?...The whole family look very nice...
