GO BRONCOS!!!

Tonight we finally got to see Ashtyn's kindergarten classroom and meet his teacher! Well, actually we didn't have to meet the teacher because she goes to our church and so we already know her! Her name is Mrs. Reddick and she is very nice! (Her first name is Erika...HA!) Ashtyn's classroom is really cool! It's pretty much what you think of when you think "kindergarten class". It has a big area rug (which you can see in the pic) with the alphabet printed on it, a weather bulliten board, art center, kitchen center and everything else you can imagine! Oh! There's even a flat screen TV mounted on the wall! Tonight we dropped off all of Ashtyn's school supplies and snooped around his classroom. Ashtyn is excited to go back on Thursday!

After settling into his new classroom, we made our way to the cafeteria where they had refreshments and school shirts for sale. Ashtyn got the "Centennial" t-shirt (that's his school name!) and also the "Bronco Pride" t-shirt! His bronco pride shirt came with a "Bronco Pride" bracelet and free ticket to a Mustang Bronco Football Game! It was cute because Ashtyn thought the lady said it was a ticket for HIM to play in a game of football...when we walked away from the table he asked if I would come to his game and watch him! Too cute! He's excited to attend, though, and watch the big kids play!

The first day of school in Mustang is Thursday but instead of actually attending school on that day the kindergarten classes have parent orientation! So, Thursday, I will go to school with Ashtyn and get all the inside info. His actual first day to be dropped off is Friday! Ash said today that he's excited to learn to read! I'm excited for him too! My friend, Jill, told me that every year since her son started school (he is going into 4th grade this year) she has had an annual ritual of dropping him off and then going to the gas station and buying a whole box of krispie kreme donuts and a coke icee and eats them! This year she invited me along! We might need TWO boxes of donuts...

I LOVE the parent orientation idea! Mustang is such a cool place!! We have an AWESOME 2nd grade teacher here in Ponca that the schools are fighting over...she's from Mustang! :) Ash will be reading in no time!

PaPaw, says that Ashtyn is too good looking to go to a co-ed school. The girls will be chasing all day. Just kidding. Ashtyn, enjoy every minute of school.

See you soon.
