FROM "JUST LAUGH"

There is a particular shopping center here in OKC that I go to often. It has a Hobby Lobby, a Ross and many other stores that are fun to walk around in and shop with or without the kids! Most days, I go there with the boys. For some reason, I guess maybe because the intersections around this shopping center are so busy, there are always many homeless people standing on the corners holding signs asking for money or food. Now that the boys are getting a bit older they have noticed these men standing on the streets and are beginning to ask questions about who they are, why they are standing outside and what their signs say. I have tried to explain in an age appropriate way that these people do not have their own homes and so they stand outside and ask for money so that they can find a place to live. I told them that it is called being "homeless". Well, apparently, the boys were listening VERY well to my explanations. The other night, Brandon took the boys with him and drove over to Little Caesars here in Mustang to pick up a pizza for dinner. The shopping center that the Little Caesars is located in has many other stores in it and many of those businesses regularly have teenage employees stand out at the intersection in front of the shopping center to hold signs promoting their business or advertising a special deal of the day! Well, Little Caesars is no different. On the day the boys went with Brandon to get the pizza, Little Caesars had an employee standing out on the street holding a large sign promoting their Hot N Ready pizzas! As Brandon drove past the young man, Maddox announced "That man is homeless!" Well...at least he was listening...
