over the river and through the woods

It's finally here! We are finally beginning to prepare for the longest road trip our family has attempted with kids! One week from this Sunday we will be loading up, along with Casey, Rae and Elia, and heading to Connecticut for Christmas!! Yep, you heard me...we are going to emark on a 26 hour journey in our mini van to visit Grandpa, Grandma, Aunt Kiki and Uncle Kevin!! We will also be ice skating in New York City, seeing the Rockettes perform at Radio City Music Hall and, of course, celebrating Christmas!! It's going to be an awesome time and Rae and I have been chomping at the bit to begin prepping for our journey! In order to keep ourselves from packing WAY too early we decided to go ahead and split up the snack list for the road trip and purchase our snacks to tide us over until we can actually begin the real preparation next week! I was in charge of chips, cookies, crackers (2 kinds!) and strawberry milk while Rae will be getting more chips (what can I say??!! He He!!), apple juice, fruit snacks, granola bars and poptarts!! Anyway, I know this isn't like breaking news or anything very interesting...but I am VERY excited for our trip!! See you soon Mom, Dad, Karianne and Kevin!!

The sad part of this whole Christmas adventure is that it will be over in the blink of an eye. Then I won't get to see you guys for several months again! Arg. That's why your visit is packed to the gills with everything Christmas!
