thumpity thump thump

As promised, this morning we woke up, had breakfast and immidiately bundled up and went out to play in the snow!! The boys and Brandon built a snowman and also broke out into a couple of snowball fights!! It was alot of fun...

Maddox was throwing snowballs at everyone and when Ashtyn decided to retaliate Maddox didn't take it so well...

but just a moment later he was all smiles and ready to make a bigger and better snowball to chase Ashtyn with!!

A few hours after finishing our "Frosty" he had melted a bit and his eyes had already fallen out. Oh well. We still have alot of snow in our front yard even though quite a bit has melted! My love of winter and snowy weather makes me hope we have snow all winter, even though I know that won't happen...but I'll enjoy it while it lasts!!!

We also took down most of our Christmas decorations today, including our Christmas tree. Unfortunately, I didn't really think it through before I did it and ended up taking down most of the decorations while the boys were napping. When Ashtyn woke up and came down the hallway he started to cry. I couldn't figure out what was wrong until I realized that when he fell asleep the Christmas tree was up and now it was nowhere to be found. Poor guy. It seems that both our boys were a bit confused since Santa visited us at Grandpa and Grandma's house in Connecticut. When we got home yesterday Ashtyn asked when Santa was coming to our house...??? Oops. I guess that's hard to understand when you're 5. So anyway, I tried to explain to Ash that Christmas time is over and next year we will put the tree back up. He didn't have much to say at the time but later, during dinner, he said "Mom, it's gonna be a LONG day until Christmas comes again!" Sigh...too bad it's longer then he realizes. I wish it wasn't so long either...

Ashtyn, you are such a "thinker"....and so sensitive to the world around you...May God always keep that sensitivity active. I am sure mom will think of something else to decorate for!!!!!I love you all

These pictures are incredible. Can you please send me a digital copy of them? I also need copies of what you took out here in CT. Maybe on a disc & mail it? The time in the snow looks like a blast. I'm so happy that the boys got to have their snowball fight ... even tho it wasn't out here.

Erika...I can't remember if I've said this before but you could take the greeting card industry by storm...by turning the pics you take of your boys into cards and using your writing ability to attach an awesome caption. Now, what caption would you put under Maddox's pic of getting hit by Ashtyn's snowball?!?
