closet mama's boy

Maddox is my 100% outdoorsy, rough-n-tumble, energetic, aggressive, sweaty, smelly, competitive boy! And I do mean ALL BOY!!!! He already has a life plan to play football then learn karate and finally join the army when he's 12 (according to him!). He thinks 12 is all grown up! Despite his manly tendencies, though, Maddox is still a momma's boy. He has quiet moments where he loves to be cuddled, babied and oohed and aahed over. He may be 4 but he most certainly knows how to get this mom's attention. I'll admit it, I'm wrapped around his little finger. Earlier this week I cherished (and documented in pictures) one of those mama's boy moments. Ashtyn was at school and I was doing chores. Maddox offered to help so I gave him a bottle of cleaner and a rag and told him he could clean dried mud spots off the mudroom floor. He was more then happy to do it and he did a great job! Hopefully he remembers how much he loves doing chores when he's a teenager...
