Old McMaddox

Friday at Pre-K they had Farm Day!! The kids were allowed to dress up like farmers and then a local cowboy brought his very own farm animals to the school for the kids to see and learn about!! I think in total the cowboy brought a large horse, a small pony, two sheep and a goat!! Maddox said his favorite was the big horse!! He wanted to pet it but the kids weren't allowed to because apparently the horse was a bit cranky and scared with all those kids around and for safety reasons they kept the horse at a safe distance. As we were shopping for a hat for Maddox to wear on farmer day I found this black cowboy hat at Target. At first, Maddox refused to wear it. He said "Nobody will think it's cool..." but I found a bribe, to get Maddox to wear the hat, that he couldn't pass up. As we walked through the boys clothing section of Target Maddox saw the be-all and end-all of swimming suits...STAR WARS SWIMMING SHORTS!!!! The heavens were shining down on Maddox that day!! And lucky for him he had outgrown his suit from last year. So, I told Maddox that if he would dress like a farmer AND wear his cowboy hat to school the next day he would be allowed to get the Star Wars swimming suit. And guess what!? When I picked Maddox up at the end of the farm day he was STILL wearing his hat!!!! Ha!!!! I guess the bribe worked!!!! And so now Maddox has a new Star Wars swim suit in his closet ready for summer!!
