balloon bouquet

I had a simple, quiet but GREAT Mother's Day!! First, on Saturday, Brandon made an unusual and suspicious trip to Wal-Mart with Ashtyn and then when they got back home they called for Maddox and all shut themselves inside the boys' bedroom. I was sitting on the sofa on my computer. I knew that they were most likely making me Mother's Day cards! I just laughed to myself and knew that I would soon have to put on my best "surprised" face! That evening, Brandon and the boys gave me my gift. Both Ash and Maddox had made me hand drawn cards! Ashtyn's had scenes from Mario video games inside and Maddox's had a drawing of me and him "running to a flower" he said! So cute! They also presented me with a Wii game! Now, I know most mom's wouldn't be excited about a wii game for Mother's Day but this mama was! Brandon helped the boys pick me out a wii game that has all of the original Mario games from the first NES system that I had when I was a kid!! I was really really excited!! I've already played for a couple hours! (When I could steal a few minutes from my boys that is...!!!) Then Saturday night Brandon told me to go lay in bed and watch TV while he cleaned up the house! No complaints here! Sunday morning we went to church and then I came home for another relaxing afternoon in my sweats! Brandon cooked lunch! Mmmm! Grilled BBQ chicken, baked potatoes and corn! A Brandon specialty! I took a nap, read my book and watched the boys swim! It was a great day! Oh...and the boys also made me more cards in their sunday school classes and Maddox brought me home this balloon flower! I love it! I truly am blessed by Brandon and my boys! It may not have been a flashy or fancy Mother's Day but I will treasure my hand drawn cards FOREVER and hopefully very soon I will beat Super Mario Brothers 1, 2 AND 3!!!! :)
