not enough hours in a day

We had a short but sweet Memorial Day weekend. We weren't able to spend the entire weekend with family because Brandon had to work but on Friday afternoon we drove to Ponca City for a quick visit! Brandon took the boys to Noni's house while I went out to eat with Rae and some friends and then went to see a play. Dinner was awesome and the play was hilarious! It was a much needed girls night! After the play, I spent the night at Rae's house and the next morning Elia and I got ready together! She's so cute! Everything I did, she did. She used her princess hair dryer, princess straight iron and REAL lip gloss! Such a pretty girl!



Then I went to Noni and Papa's house where both of Brandon's brothers and their wives were hanging out. We played in the backyard and ate a yummy lunch of ribs, chicken, corn on the cob, sausage, salad and desserts. Mmmm Mmmm! Oh! And Uncle Nathan and Aunt Dana held the traditional backyard water fight with the boys! It seems like every time they're in town some sort of water fight breaks out! Fun!!



Maddox found a tiny little frog in the backyard and caught it in a jar! He was a bit freaked out by the frog at first...

but then he didn't want to let him go! Ha! We had to let the froggy go, though. He had another froggy friend waiting for him by the shed!

After lunch, the WHOLE family went mini golfing!!



Maddox was a wild man on the golf course! He whacked me with the club once and we're pretty sure that he thought whoever finished the course FIRST was the WINNER!! He practically ran through the course using his club, his hands and his feet to get the ball into the hole! He even did some holes twice just so that he wouldn't get too far ahead and he STILL finished first!!



After we finished the last hole on the golf course the owner of the course showed the boys where the golf balls end up after they drop into the last hole! You would have thought the man had showed the boys a pot of gold! They thought it was the coolest thing ever!!

Unfortunately, we could only stay for the day and we really wish we could have hung out for another day or two but we had to get home. Brandon had to work on Sunday and then we were picking up Elia on Monday for a week long visit while her parents are at camp with their youth group! We had a great time in Ponca and now we're catching up on sleep and house work so that we can enjoy the energetic and fun week ahead!! SOOOO EXCITED FOR SUMMER!!!!
