prelude to camp cousin

Yesterday, we picked up Elia at a nearby Braums for a week long visit while her mom and dad are at Turner Falls Youth Camp with their youth group! We are SO SO SO excited to have Elia for the whole week and will have lots of fun! We didn't get Elia until lunchtime on Monday so we ate and then went swimming ALL afternoon! I mean, seriously, all afternoon! I often call the pool my "baby sitter" and this week she may need a raise (ha!) because I have a feeling she's going to be working alot of overtime!









For dinner we grilled out. Brandon made BBQ chicken, grilled corn on the cob and grilled potatoes! Mmmmm! I wish there was some left over because I'm still thinking about this meal even now! (Maddox is pouting because he doesn't think he likes his dinner...but it only took a matter of a couple minutes and he was scarfing it down! Hmmmm, looks like mom was right!)

After dinner it was showers, a little bit of playtime, snacks and a movie and then we went to bed. The kids were so tired and slept awesome through the night! I think I'll be wearing them out again tomorrow and looking forward to another great night's sleep...cause when the kids are worn out mama's worn out too!


It's only day one with our little visitor and we've already had a ton of fun! Tomorrow we're meeting my mom's group at the park for some playtime and then who knows what else the day will hold! Look out summer...HERE WE COME!!!!
