tuckering day two

Yesterday was day two of Elia's week long visit at our house and we had another busy but fun day!! First, we went to a park close to the lake and met some of the mom's from my church mom's group for a play date! It was alot of fun! We played, ate snacks, fed the ducks and wore our kids out!! Once we were all drenched in sweat we left the park and ran a few errands while we were all dressed and before we got home and got into our bathing suits! While doing errands we listened to christmas music! Ha! It may seem silly considering it's the end of May but it sure was fun!! We LOVE christmas!! It's never too early to get into the spirit!!

After errands we grabbed some lunch and then headed home to eat. The kids played inside for awhile and then begged to go back in the pool. Who am I to argue with that!? Ha!! They literally swam for 2 1/2 hours straight!! And without even an argument, complaint or tattle!! Wow!! I love this pool even more now then I ever have!! She's a miracle worker!!

While the kids were outside they would sometimes get out of the pool and run around, dripping wet, and even get into the trampoline. Apparenlty, the day before when they were outside they dumped some bubbles onto the trampoline and so when they got in all wet yesterday the dried soap on the jumping surface started sudsing up and becoming slippery! They thought this was AWESOME!! It kept them entertained for quite some time!! Oh the things that entertain you when you're 7 and 4!!



Once Brandon got home from work, everyone came inside and played some Mario Party on the Wii. Can you tell how tired they are??? I think they could have all fallen asleep right then and there...

After dinner everyone took showers and then we had a bedtime snack of cake and chocolate milk! Mmmmm! It may not be the best bedtime snack but if you can't snack like that in the summer then when can ya!?!? I think it was worth it!!

The kids were all in bed and watching movies by 7:30 and I think the last kid fell asleep at about 8:30!! They were tuckered!! I was exhausted too!! After the kids went to sleep Brandon and I turned on game 1 of the NBA finals and I read my kindle. I remember thinking how tired I was and wondering how late it had gotten but when I looked at the clock it was only 9:45! Ha!! I think the kids wear me out just as much as I wear them out!
