"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

lazy luau
Elia's third day visiting us we took a much needed break! We hung out at the house, watched movies, swam and just played with toys! The kids had the chance to be creative and, of course, make a DISASTER of the bedroom! Ha! Oh well...at least they played well together!

That afternoon I made everyone lay down to at least take a rest. Both my boys fell asleep! I was not surprised...
but Elia did not fall asleep! Ha! Again, I was NOT surprised! Somehow, Elia just doesn't require naps! Rae had warned me about this...
The big event for Wednesday was that our church was having a luau for the Rainbow's class, which both Maddox and Elia are in! So, we dressed up in our best Hawaiian gear and headed to church! Maddox refused to wear his lei the traditional way but decided it was okay to wear it across his body because somehow it reminded him of chewbacca from Star Wars! Ha! Oh my...EVERYTHING comes back to Star Wars with Maddox!
It may have been a slower day then we've had so far this week but it was still a fun day! I must say, though, that come Thursday we will definitely be getting out of the house to do something! Even if it's just eating at Chick-fil-A and playing on the playground we will be getting all our energy out and going to bed early!!
