touch a truck

Saturday morning we were just sitting around the house being lazy and relaxing when Aunt Rae texted me a picture of Elia standing in front of an Army vehicle and then another pic of Elia sitting inside the vehicle!! It looked so fun!! I asked where they were and Rae said that at their library they were having an event called "Touch A Truck" where you could see all different types of service vehicles and actually get inside them, honk the horns, etc. Rae then told me that she thought maybe our local library was having something similar but she wasn't sure if it was the same day. Well, we couldn't resist that!! So, Brandon drove the boys down to the library and sure enough there were tons of different trucks parked in the parking lot ready for the kids to explore!! There were fire trucks, police cars, garbage trucks, army vehicles and OG&E trucks. The boys LOVED it!! They sat in every one that they could and even got to sound the sirens in the police car!! Thanks Aunt Rae for sort of accidently telling us about the Touch A Truck event!! It was well worth the unplanned trip to the library on a lazy Saturday morning!!
