the best things in life are...

Well, we knew that unrelenting Oklahoma wind was good for something!! You can seriously fly a kite on almost any afternoon in the springtime here in OK!! The boys had received kites for Easter and this weekend we were finally able to fly them!!



Somehow, in true "all boy" form, Maddox was able to get his kite completely tangled around the true in the front yard AND tangled around himself too!! It didn't take too long to get Maddox free but the scissors had to come out to get the kite off of the tree!! Oh Maddox...





It's moments like these that are my favorite!! It's not like we had plans to fly kites that day, we were just at home, together as a family and decided "Hmmm...where are those kites? We should do that right now!" and we did!! It was impromptu but one of the most fun things we did all week!! And all for FREE!!!!
