Sunday was our last full day in Dallas and even more relatives had to head home. My cousin Tiffany and her family had to make their way back to Louisiana where her husband serves in the military and was due back at work on Monday and so the rest of us had a sort of lazy day. In the morning, all the grown-ups (minus me) went bowling and I took the kids to Wal-Mart. Sunday was Maddox's actual birthday and even though, in his mind, he was already 5 because we had already had his birthday party all of our relatives still decided to spoil Maddox with the best birthday present anyone can receive...CASH!!!! And, of course, since all of the grown-ups in the house were handing out cash to Maddox they were also slipping Ashtyn cash as well!! So, while everyone else went bowing I took the boys to Wal-Mart to pick out a new toy each. Then we met up with everyone at the bowling alley for snacks and to watch the great family bowling competition of 2011 in progress! It was actually very entertaining!!
Once we got back to Josh and Jenna's house Aunt Teresa wrestled around with the boys giving them raspberries on their bellies! It was so funny!
That evening, we ended our great Dallas W.E.kend by watching old home movies! IT...WAS...AWESOME!!!! We laughed to the point of crying and talked about our favorite childhood memories!! I could have stayed their all night!!
After we watched all the best highlights of our lives via horrible quality, VHS tape, home movies, some of the family stayed at Josh and Jenna's house to watch a soccer game while the rest of us headed back to the hotel. We truly had a wonderful weekend and while I was excited to resume our summer routine at home I was sad to say goodbye to everyone. We really have to get together more often! All of our kids got along so well and we all truly slipped right back into a comfortable friendship as if we speak every single day! I miss everyone already...
