After saying goodbye to everyone after a wonderful W.E.kend, our family stayed one more night in our hotel before driving back home. We took it super slow Monday morning and slept in. Then I drank some coffee while watching the news and the boys played video games in the bed next to me...
As I watched my boys playing video games together, and I sipped my coffee while Brandon was up and getting ready I couldn't help but feel at peace. Here we are, in Dallas visiting family, and making memories that will last a lifetime. My boys have made friends with new little cousins and I hope that they get the chance to grow up as close to their cousins as I did to mine and I hope that one day they too will sit in a living room all together and laugh so hard it hurts thinking back on the "good old days" and laughing at themselves in pictures and in home movies! Who knows...maybe they'll be looking at this blog and getting a good laugh from these posts! Family truly is such a wonderful thing and when it comes down to it no matter how different each individual family is and no matter how far away you live, any chance you get to all get together you should take it! Family is always worth it and when you bring all those individual personalities and individual family styles together you really appreciate what family is and how you have become who you are today!
I love my family! I love my immidiate family including my husband and my two wonderful boys. I love my parents, I love my sisters, my brothers in law and my neice. (And, of course, my two unborn neices or nephews!) I love my cousins, my grandparents, my in-laws and all my aunts and uncles! Every single person in my life makes up a part of me. They shape part of who I am and always accept me no matter the shape, style, age, social status or even sanity level! Ha! Hold onto your family! Grow with them, love them, be friends with them, laugh with them and allow yourself to be yourself with them! Believe me...it's worth it!! ALWAYS worth it!!
