"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

we make a great team
I was honored to help coach a human video team for Fine Arts this year. Coaching is hard work, requires a ton of time and steals your creative energy...but IT IS AWESOME!!!! I loved getting to know each one of these kids! We were silly, we had fun, we ate way too much candy but we also worked hard and, in the end, presented a human video that was powerful and beautiful. We had such a great group of students to work with this year! These pictures are from one of our last practices before the Fine Arts weekend. Our human video was the story of Elijah after the miracle that happened with the prophets of Baal. After God set fire to the altar, Jezebel ordered her soldiers to hunt down and kill Elijah. Elijah ran into the wilderness, hid in a cave and waited for the Lord to speak to him. During his wait Elijah was visited by a great wind, an earthquake and fire. Though each of these disasters were powerful and majestic in their own way Elijah knew the Lord was not speaking through any of them. In the end, the Lord came to Elijah in a quiet and gentle whisper. What a powerful story! I am so proud of my team and I can't wait to see how they do at Fine Arts!
