"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

work hard play hard
Fine Arts season is one of the craziest times of the year in my life. I love every second of it...but it's CRAZY!!!! We work, in a whirlwind, for months and it all finally culminates into a quick 48 hour event! Whew! At the beginning of Fine Arts week I asked Jill and Chelsea if they would be interested in getting pedicures before the Fine Arts weekend...??? Of course, they were up for it but then the week took some unexpected turns (as the week before Fine Arts so often does...) and I was afraid that we wouldn't be able to fit our pedicures in. The day before Fine Arts actually began, though, we put down our laptops, closed our Fine Arts rule books and MADE the time for some relaxation! We got there just in time to get manicures and pedicures before the salon closed and we enjoyed every second of our massage chairs. It was well worth the little bit of work we had left to do the morning Fine Arts registration opened. This will definitely have to become part of our normal Fine Arts weekend routine!
