ashtyn day

ASHTYN DAY!!!! As summer approached, I had this idea to have an "Ashtyn Day" and a "Maddox Day" when the kids were out of school for summer break. The kids had total control of their day! They chose all of our meals and all of our activities. Needless to say, the boys were PUMPED!!!! What fun! Ash had already told me that he wanted a "bacon breakfast" on his day. I was not surprised AT ALL! I think if Ash was able to survive on bacon alone he most definitely would. So, we bought a HUGE pack of bacon and when we woke up that morning I got cooking. Thankfully, Ashtyn decided that the rest of the family could have some other food choices to go along with our bacon. Whew!

Ash ONLY ate bacon! I normally NEVER let him do this but what's one day out of the year!? I mean, he IS the boss today!

Ashtyn's first choice for the day was visiting the Science Museum. That's SO Ashtyn.

 

The Planetarium show is always one of our favorites!

On our way home from the Science Museum we got some ice cream.

Ash chose to spend the rest of the afternoon and evening playing Mario Party on the Wii as a family. We moved the Wii to the living room and played round after round. Ash decided he wanted Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner (no complaints from the rest of the family!) and we ate and played, ate and played.

Ashtyn's day fit his personality perfectly. All indoor activities, all science or electronics related and tons of bacon and french fries to eat! I can only imagine what Maddox will choose next week on his day. I'm sure it'll be MUCH different from the day we had today.
