i'm blue

Day five in Orlando! We've been having so much fun we can hardly stand it! Brandon and I have been joking that our boys better make a ton of memories because this is THE vacation of their childhood! From here on out it's gonna be camping trips and visiting Gramma and Grampa! Ha! We are truly experiencing everything Orlando has to offer staying busy day after day! Today, the boys stayed at the condo with Brandon playing video games and fighting each other with their lightsabers while Jill and I went to the convention center to watch as many Oklahoma Fine Arts participants as we could. We ran ourselves ragged going from one room to the next, upstairs and downstairs watching human videos, dramas, vocal solos and even some rap! I fell IN LOVE with a new category called Dramatized Quoting. When they added this category I'll be the first to admit that I was a little confused. The rules made it sound like some weird hybrid of drama solo and spoken word...and, in fact, that's pretty much what it is and yet SO MUCH COOLER than I ever could have imagined! In Dramatized Quoting a student must present to the judges the portion of scripture they intend to quote and then word-for-word quote that scripture while they act it out drama solo style. It's hard to put into words how amazing it really was to see scripture acted out and spoken in such a dramatic way. It took a portion of scripture you might usually read through with glazed eyes and have to re-read to understand and made it literally COME TO LIFE! It gave me chills!

After the Fine Arts day was over we got ready and headed to Universal Studios to see The Blue Man Group. People had told me how cool this show is but I wasn't prepared for how hilarious it would be as well. We were amazed by the music and art, we laughed hysterically at the comedy and we even got to participate in the "Shake Your Booty" song! It was so much fun! I want to detail every single thing that happened during The Blue Man Group show but it's something that you just have to see for yourself and, believe me, it is SO worth the time and money! I would see it again any day.
