This year, Ash was given his very first real life book report assignment! (Call me crazy but I love book reports!) After he read his book he had to fill out a book report form and then turn a mini pumpkin into the main character of his book. His main character was a bat named Echo. We pulled out our craft paints, markers, crayons and construction paper and got to work. We kept the book close by which had a picture of Echo right on the cover. In the end, I think we did a really good job! Ashtyn's pumpkin looked a lot like Echo! As a part of Ashtyn's report he had to stand in front of his class and give his report orally. He was VEEERRRYYY nervous about this part. He even cried the night before. I felt so bad but did my best to prepare him and ease his nerves. I knew he would do great! When I picked him up from school that day the first thing he said when he got in the van was "I did it! It was fun!" I knew he was worrying about nothing. I was so proud of him! Here's to many more successful book reports in the future! And the hope that I get to help him with every single one!
