home stretch

5PM. Finally, we are in the home stretch!! The weatherman is now telling us that if we can make it until 7 or 8PM without losing our power that we are probably in the clear! The countdown begins. I know others in our county have lost power so so far we have been one of the lucky ones and I hope it stays that way. Others, though, on the more southern parts of OKC and those in SouthWest Oklahoma haven't been lucky at all. They're power has already been out most of the day and they just announced on the news that an entire power transmitter tower has collapsed under the weight of the ice!! Sounds like they will be without power for quite some time. Right now here it is simply FREEZING outside and the sleet hurts really bad when you step outside. Other then that, from inside, it almost looks like snow has fallen!! They are still forecasting 4-8 inches of snow to fall here overnight and tomorrow so that should be nice! Hopefully tomorrow there's enough snow to let the boys bundle up and go outside for a bit! Winter fun!!!!!
