"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

bird buffet
This weekend our family visited Ponca City and spent the night with Noni and Papa! I was speaking at a girls retreat for Rae's youth group (and had a ton of fun doing it) but I also enjoyed some down time going out to eat with the in-law's and just hanging out at the house! During our visit, Noni sat down with the boys and did a fun springtime craft where they made their own bird feeders! They even got to color the bird feeder before daddy put it together! FUN!!!

Finally, it was time to find a place outside to hang our new bird feeders...now, mind you, these feeders are made of cardboard so once we get them home and find a permanent place to hang them we'll have to be careful to put them in a covered location, but for now we hung them in Noni's tree and on her porch strategically where we could see them from the dining room window so we could spy out and see if any birds took a nibble!
We never actually SAW a bird feeding from our feeder (ha!) but I'm sure one or two did! We would have hung the bird feeders at home today but of course it's raining and is going to rain all day tomorrow...welcome to spring in Oklahoma!! Hopefully soon, though, we'll be able to hang our feeders and keep the birds full!

Awesome bird feeders! Hope you guys are doing good!
P.S. Brandon looks Amish!
He just needs some suspenders and black and white clothes.
