easter...the edited version

This past week, the boys and I prepared for Easter by painting some Easter Bunny suncatchers! It was a fun craft and the boys were proud of their art work! As you can see, Maddox's "pre-school grin" is in full force. School pictures should be quite interesting this year! HA!!! While we did our craft, I wanted to take the opportunity to explain to the boys why we celebrate Easter. I wasn't sure how detailed to get and wanted to avoid explaining certain areas of the meaning of Easter so I decided to tell them that a long time ago Jesus got in trouble so that we didn't have to! Maddox, inparticular, was quite amazed that Jesus would do that and I think they both understood what I was telling them. Well, all my planning on what to tell them was for not because at my mom's group this week their teacher explained to them the entire easter story including that Jesus died! Oh well! I mean, I want them to know that but just wasn't sure what their little brains could comprehend. Apparenlty, I underestimated them!
