celebrate!

Ashtyn has been in Vacation Bible School Sports Camp all week!! He chose to be in the soccer class where they played games and also learned bible lessons and, of course, had snack time! Ashtyn did awesome at camp and learned his memory verse very well! We were so proud!

On the last day of camp the church had a celebration party complete with a variety of water sports and snack foods! The highlight of the evening was a frog and turtle race and Ashtyn really wanted to participate. We searched pet store after pet store looking for a small turtle to put in the race but weren't lucky enough to find one. Well...let me correct myself, we did find ONE turtle at PetSmart but he cost $90!!!! Huh!?!? Needless to say, we didn't buy a turtle and so didn't get to compete in the race but Ash was OK with that. In fact, during our hunt for a turtle I think he fell in love with the lizards and now is begging for a pet...

The boys had a blast at the VBS celebration regardless!!!

One of Ashtyn's Wednesday night Royal Ranger teachers was in the dunk tank!! Ash tried over and over to dunk him and finally they let him just push the button with his hand! He was quite proud of himself!

Next year Maddox will get to participate in Vacation Bible School too!! He already decided that he wants to do flag football!! (No surprise!!)
