"kickin' off" the school year

Today, the boys and I went shopping for some new school shoes!! It felt sort of strange to be shopping for sneakers when it was 105 degrees outside but it had to be done!! I learned really quickly last year, with Ashtyn in school, that you shouldn't buy white shoes for school. They turn every color but white really quickly! HA!! So, this year we went with darker colors in the hopes that they will look nice longer! Maddox chose a pair of Star Wars sneakers (sigh...no surprise!) and then I chose him a cute pair of blue shoes! (I still want to pick them out cute shoes even though I know they'll end up in worn out old play shoes everyday...)

Ashtyn chose these dark blue velcro sneakers and I chose the brown ones!!

I can't believe that one week from today we'll be dropping both our boys off at school. Summer went by way too fast! But at least they'll be going back in cute shoes!!!!
