pumpkin goo

It's pumpkin carving time!!!! Tonight the boys cleaned all the insides out of their pumpkins and then daddy carved them!!!! The past few years the boys have chosen quite complicated designs and/or characters that they want carved into their halloween pumpkins but daddy does such a good job that why not!?! This year Ashtyn chose the Transformer Autobot Symbol and Maddox chose Darth Vader. Take a look at the pics from our evening and tell me if you notice something...ummmm, odd about my boys cleaning out their pumpkins.

Did you see it???? Did you notice the "something odd" in our pumpkin carving adventure???? Yep, that's right...Maddox is in pumpkin goo up to his elbows (he was even rubbing it up and down his arms!) but Ashtyn never even touched the stuff. In fact, he didn't even get close! If you didn't notice then go back and look. The entire time he was handling his pumpkin, Ashtyn was holding a long handled plastic spoon in each hand! He never got anywhere near the yucky stuff!! HA!!!! Yet more proof of how absolutely different our boys are!!!! Maddox even asked us to take off his shirt so that he could get "more dirty" but Ash just picked up as many seeds and pumpkin insides as he could with those two plastic spoons and then let daddy clean out the rest. I think at one point Ash almost touched some of the slimy pumpkin ickiness to which it announced "I think I almost gagged..." Oh well. Both boys were more then proud of their finished pumpkins and they look really good on the front porch!!!!

Great job daddy!!!! Another year of pumpkin carving under your belt!!!! When Maddox saw his pumpkin he gasped and said "It's perfect..." I think that alone made it all worth it to Brandon! :)
