TOMS to school

School is only two weeks away and this year we got lucky and were actually able to find all the VERY specific school supplies on the teacher's lists!! I think this is the first time we've ever found all the correct brands and sizes and even just the supplies themselves!! Every other year we've had to either apologize to the teacher for not finding something or had to buy a brand that wasn't preferred. We hit the jackpot this year, though, and after only going two stores!! The boys were super excited and proud of their supplies and so we sorted them out on our bedroom floor and then loaded them into their backpacks!! We're all ready for back to school night!!

The boys each got their very first pair of Toms as their back to school shoes for the year! They were excited to go into the shoe store and have the employee help them pull sizes and try on different colors. Obviously, the sales woman didn't know Maddox very well because she was determined to convince him to buy a pair of Toms with different colored elephant print all over them! Ha!! He just kept saying "I want black..." and eventually the sales woman got the message. So, Maddox ended up with black Toms and Ash got Gray. I was happy with the colors because not only will they match just about everything but they also won't get dirty too quickly.

Ashtyn really really wanted this Mario backpack. We had seen it at Target several weeks ago but didn't buy it at the time and then every single time we would go back they wouldn't have any in stock. We even asked the stockman to check in the back of the store to see if there were more and he said they were completely sold out! Bummer! So, instead of worrying Ashtyn sick for the next two weeks we simply ordered his "dream backpack" online and it came in within a matter of days!! He was excited!!

The boys are now packed and ready to meet their teachers two weeks from tonight!! I'm still sad that both my babies will be starting all day school this year but I see how excited they are and I'm excited for them!! Plus, I'm excited to volunteer at class parties and go on field trips with them!! It can really keep a mom busy!!
