"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

like a bull in a porcelin tub
We don't let the boys take baths very often anymore...OK, that sounded really weird. What I mean is, since they have been going to school (including last year) we have switched them from baths to showers. It's quicker, less messy and especially on early school nights it causes way less drama between the boys then throwing them in a confined bath tub together. (Oh, the things you learn as a parent...!!!) On weekends, though, and sometimes in the summer we still fill the tub with spongebob bubbles and let them play for a good half hour, or more, before bedtime. When they do get the chance to play in the tub some pretty hysterical things happen! They come up with the craziest things to play and their imaginations run wild! Last night the boys took a bath and I kept hearing Ashtyn yell "TODO! TODO!" in the tub and when I walked past the bathroom Maddox was holding two wooden spoons up to his head like horns. I wasn't sure what they were playing but I knew I had to preserve this memory forever!! I pushed record on the camera and started shooting. Right away, the boys saw me in the hallway recording them and got embarrassed. Soon enough, though, I got them to show me what they were doing. Turns out they were playing "bull fighter". Maddox was the bull and Ashtyn was holding up a wash cloth yelling "TODO!" over and over so that Maddox (the bull) would charge him. It was hilarious! I know my boys will just love me one day for shooting this video but I couldn't resist! They crack me up!!
