comedy and tragedy

With both the boys in school all day they are excited that they finally get to participate in, what the school calls "specials". Specials include P.E., art, music and computer time in the library! So cool! I knew Maddox would love P.E. but am kind of surprised at how much Ashtyn enjoys it too! I was also surprised to learn that they don't just play games in elementary P.E.! The teacher really gets them moving! They do push ups, sit ups and work toward getting their name on the wall of kids who have completed a half mile run among other things! The boys have come home several days showing off all their new workout skills. Yesterday, Ash and Maddox decided to show us all the different ways they can do push ups! From there we saw all the VERY creative ways they can do jumping jacks as well. I'm gonna go ahead and guess that they didn't learn all of these moves in P.E....I think they were exaggerating a bit for the camera!! Ha!! They were both showing off, though, for sure and trying their best to impress mom and dad. This video clip has a very tragic ending when Maddox actually injures himself doing a jumping jack (he's just a tiny bit accident prone...) but the video is pretty funny!! Oh, and I have to say that I have gotten in "trouble" with my boys for two weeks now because I keep calling P.E. "gym" and they correct me EVERY SINGLE TIME saying "Mom, it's called P.E...." in an exasperated tone. Oh goodness! I'm so very sorry! I mean "P.E." Good grief mom...don't you know anything!?!? Ha!!
