"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

you underestimate my sneakiness
Since school started we have introduced a new chore chart system so that the boys will help out around the house and can also earn rewards at the end of each week. Their chores are very basic and easy. One of their morning chores is to make their beds. After only a few days of using the new chore chart BOTH my boys began going to bed sleeping ON TOP of their comforters!! I knew exactly what they were up to!! To make their mornings easier and to make sure they got a star for making their beds every single day they decided to not mess up their beds every night. Instead, they sleep on top of their already made bed and just use the blanket they fold at the end of their beds as covers. They are way too smart!! They've now been sleeping on top of their comforters for over a week and I can't convince them to get under the covers!! I've told them that as the weather gets colder they are going to get colder too but they both say they will just use the folded blankets. Sigh. I'm not sure if this is a battle worth fighting!! Ha!! At least for now they're beds are made every single day!!
