"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

the little boat engine that could
Last week, at school, Maddox made a "soap boat" during craft time!! He was so proud of his little carved-out boat with straw mast and paper flag and he REALLY couldn't wait to actually use it in the bath tub!! I wasn't sure how the little boat would survive bath time with two boys but it actually did very well. It floated through the bubbles and I'm sure survived being sat on, tossed and drowned several times!! In fact, it's still sitting on the edge of the tub today!! I'm not sure how long we'll have Maddox's little soap boat but it sure is cute and Maddox loves it!!
