king of the kitchen

Before we left to go to Ponca City for Thanksgiving, we baked some yummy snacks and desserts to take with us and Maddox begged to help out. I never would have thought that Maddox would be the one who would want to hang out in the kitchen and help mommy bake cupcakes but he LOVES it!! He wants to help every single time!! I don't mind...I actually love spending the quiet time with Maddox and (since I don't have a daughter...) I still get to pass on some of my "baking skills" to someone!!

Maddox helped me mix all of the dry ingredients...

and then he scooped the dry ingredients into the electric mixer as it blended the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients one tiny spoon full at a time. It took quite awhile but it was cute watching him scoop tiny scoop after tiny scoop into the bowl!!

Then Maddox scooped the prepared batter into the cupcake cups and got them ready to bake!! He did a REALLY great job!! And, needless to say, the cupcakes were yummy!!
