This month, Ashtyn won the character award at school!! The award was for "courtesy"...I think that's the perfect award for my Ashtyn!! I don't know that I've ever met a little boy with a more tender heart and thoughtful spirit then him. The award was a surprise to Ash and so Brandon and I being at his school that morning was also a surprise. It was so sweet to see him walk up on stage and receive his certificate and bumper sticker! Ash was a bit confused, at first, because when the speaker announced his name she called out "AshLYN" instead of "Ashtyn" and so Ash wasn't for sure that meant him...but thankfully, his teacher caught the mistake and made sure Ash made it up on stage to get his award.
Ash was surprised and excited AND PROUD of his certificate!! He's such a cutie!!
I love that BOTH my boys have won a character award at school this year. My boys may be complete opposites but they both of strengths that make them who they are and we are so proud of them! I can't wait to see what the future holds for my "courteous" Ashtyn Drew!
