"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

The Centennial Express
On Wednesday, the last day of school before Christmas break, Ashtyn had a super fun day at school!! He was allowed to wear his pajamas to school and then during the day they colored their very own tickets to board the Polar Express. The students then used their custom ticket to enter the gymnasium where their principal read the story of the Polar Express to them while they sipped hot chocolate with mini marshmallows in it!! Ash had an absolute BLAST!! When he came home from school on Wednesday he had so much to say about his Polar Express day...BUT...he was even more excited to know that it was CHRISTMAS BREAK!!!! Both of my boys kept saying "we have two weeks off school! we have two weeks off school!" Ha!! I know the break (and Christmas) will go by way too fast...but right now we're just savoring every single moment!!
