On Friday evening, we met at Noni and Papa's house and had a really unique Christmas!! Uncle Tyler and Aunt April came over too and, instead of wrapping gifts, Noni and set up a scavenger hunt for everyone to follow clues and find their gifts hidden throughout the house!! It was a really neat idea and we all had alot of fun!! It was awesome to hear the boys running around the house and then start shrieking with excitement when they would actually find the gift they were looking for!! So cool!!
Looks like Noni hid some underwear for the boys!! Ha!! When Maddox carried his back downstairs into the living room (where the rest of the family was sitting) he got very embarrassed and hid his new undies so that no one could see them...he was pretty proud of them upstairs though...
Noni and Papa got the boys alot of really cool gifts and then the boys opened their gift from Uncle Tyler and Aunt April!! They LOVED it!! I had never seen this toy before but as soon as the boys opened it they knew exactly what they had!! It's a race track system that connects and sets up into a long track with a loop in the middle and it came with these two little balls that you send racing down the track and then they land in a tray offering different sections for different point levels!! It's alot of fun!!
Before the night was over, Maddox had to give baby Natalie (Aunt April is due in January!) a very special gift just from him to her. As we all know very well, Maddox is not only obsessed with Star Wars but I'm pretty sure he could go up against almost anyone on knowing information about the Star Wars movies, characters, weapons and any other thing you can think of. At this point, his love of Star Wars isn't just a phase! So, for Christmas, Maddox got his new little cousin a knitted rattle that looks like Yoda from Star Wars. (Okay, technically I found it and bought it but you get the point...) Maddox is a little uneasy about having a "girl" cousin but I've convinced him that he can teach Natalie ALL about Star Wars and I'm sure she will love it!! We're starting her young with this super cute little rattle!!
So, now we've had two Christmases in two days. We're on a Christmas high!! We will spend one more night at Noni and Papa's house and then head home tomorrow to get ready for Santa to visit us. We have to bake and decorate some cookies for Santa AND we're lucky enough this year to have Noni and Papa coming back to our house to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with us!! So we still have alot of good food, good company and a really fun Christmas morning ahead!!
