santa shop

At the boys school, they have a "Santa Shop" every year where you can send money with your kids to school and they can shop for gifts for their friends and family. I sent the boys each just a few dollars to pick out a gift for each other but when they came home from school that day they BOTH went on and on and on about other toys they had seen at the shop that they wanted for themselves. I told them that I wouldn't be spending anymore money on the Santa Shop but the boys were lucky enough that that same week they received a Christmas card in the mail with $5 each inside. Both boys immediately decided to take their $5 fortune back to school the next day and go back to the Santa Shop to get what they so badly wanted for themselves. Ash REALLY wanted these glasses he kept telling me about. I wasn't sure what he was talking about until the next day when he came home from school WEARING those very glasses!! They are pretty cool actually and Ash was very proud!! I think he wore them for three days straight!!

Maddox thought brothers glasses were pretty cool too!! Whenever he got the chance, on the rare occasion that Ash would put the glasses down, Maddox would wear them around the house letting them flash and glow as he played.

I know that within a week of bringing home everything they bought at the Santa Shop we didn't know where any of the little trinkets and toys were...at this point, I don't even remember what Maddox bought with his $5 Christmas money...but it sure is fun to watch both Ash and Maddox get so excited over something so small and silly. And it's even funner to watch them spend their OWN money on it!! Ha!!
