Last Thursday was the last day of school and when we went to bed the night before the boys were super excited!! The next morning, Ash was still very excited and ready to go but unfortunately Maddox was sick. He had to miss his last day of school. He was upset but stayed cuddled up on the sofa all day without even talking and, if you know Maddox, then you know that means he really didn't feel well. So, off Ash went with his sack lunch for the final day of 1st grade!! His class was watching a movie and having a picnic on the playground, which I was supposed to go to but because Maddox was sick I stayed home with him and Brandon went to the picnic instead. It turned out that Maddox didn't miss much at all because Ash ended up coming home after his picnic at 11AM and so wasn't really gone that long and, in fact, with Maddox home sick watching movies and Ash at school watching movies both my boys did the exact same thing on their last day of school!! Ha!! Now, as we begin summer, I honestly can't believe that I have a future 2nd grader AND 1st grader in my house!! Crazy!! They are growing up way too fast. I guess I better soak up summer for all it's worth!!
