short drive home

On the third and final day of our Dallas weekend we were supposed to visit the Dallas Zoo but after two long days in the hot Texas sun (and Brandon's really bad sun burn...) we decided to change things up a bit and see a movie instead!! When Brandon looked up what movies were playing, he discovered that there was a movie theater nearby called a "Fork & Screen" where you watch a movie WHILE eating lunch!! It was really cool!! Each theater seat has its own little table attached with a call button next to it. There is a full menu and whenever you are ready to order you just push the call button and a theater waitress comes to your seat, takes your order and then delivers your food to you whenever it's ready!! Whoa!! I don't know if we'll ever be able to see a movie the traditional way again!! Ha!! We ordered lunch and then some concession stand snacks when we finished. It was awesome and delicious!!

After the movie, we drove back to Oklahoma so that we could be sure we were home before the Thunder Game that night. I took this picture as proof of how obsessed Brandon is becoming with basketball, specifically the Thunder, because HE CHOSE the radio station for our drive home!! Whoa!! I never thought I'd see this day...!!!

I think Maddox got just a little bit bored on the drive home. It's really not that far but we were all so tired that Maddox must have been doing anything he could just to stay awake!! First, he just put his head inside his t-shirt...

and then somehow he got his entire body in there!! Silly boy!!

It may have been a short vacation but it was a fun one!! Now we're counting down the days until our family road trip to Connecticut to visit my side of the family!! We have so much more fun summer ahead of us!!
