Maddox still comes to our bed almost every single night. Actually, more often then not he makes his way into our room sometime late in the night or early morning! Sure we could have broken that habit by now but if I'm truly being honest I have to admit that I don't want it to end either. It's hard for a mom to let her babies grow up. I know that one day my boys will rather do ANYTHING then get in bed with their mommy so I'm most definitely going to enjoy it while I can! On this morning, in particular, Maddox came into our bed before the sun. That's not unusual but normally when he comes in he just crawls up into bed, snuggles in and falls back asleep. This morning was different, though. This time, instead of just crawling in, Maddox actually shook me until I woke up and then, once I was awake, said "Mom, can we cuddle?" Let me tell you, there's NO better way to wake up! Forget alarms, forget coffee and forget sleeping in!! When your baby wakes you up and asks to cuddle, it melts your heart into a puddle. I, of course, agreed to some snuggle time and cuddled my baby until we both woke up a couple of hours later. At that point, mommy lost out to morning cartoons...but I'll take what I can get.
