On Monday the week school started the boys and I pulled all of their new school supplies out of my closet and sorted through them! Whew! What a job! The boys were super excited and I was just keeping my fingers crossed that we actually had everything we needed!

Thankfully, we had every last item that was on our list, it's a miracle, and it was an even bigger miracle that we got nearly every single item inside the boys' backpacks! We couldn't fit the kleenex in there but overall I think that was really good!

It was almost like the teachers knew we were going thru school supplies because while we were loading everything up the boys' teachers called to introduce themselves and remind us of back-to-school night the next day. The boys were excited to learn their teachers' names and I think it made the first day of school that much more real to know that the kids backpacks were full and their teachers actually had names! Ha! The boys may have been all smiles that night but to be totally honest once I knew this years teachers names I was actually MORE sad. I don't like admitting that my kids are getting older...

It's only 3 days until the first day of school and tomorrow is meet the teacher night. Summer has most definitely flown by! 1st and 2nd grade here we come!
