The boys both had a really good time at back-to-school night. We met Maddox's teacher first. Her name is Mrs. Cornelius. She is VERY nice and has taught for many years. Maddox has always had quite the way with teachers. No matter what, they tend to think he's the absolute sweetest boy in the whole wide world and even when he has a "bad day" and gets in a bit of trouble he always has them wrapped around his little finger! I think he got that from his Grampa Mike! Ha! Then we met Ashtyn's teacher. Her name is Mrs. McMaHill. She too is very nice. This is her first year to teach 2nd grade but she worked as the children's program director at the Mustang Library before teaching. You can tell with one look at her classroom that she LOVES reading! I think that she and Ash will have alot in common. I have to admit I was a bit nervous when we first met Ashtyn's teacher because when she shook his hand and began talking to him he sort of shut down and just stared at the floor. He got very nervous! I felt bad for him but I know that after a couple days of school he will warm up to her and his new surroundings and will flourish in 2nd grade. Ash WAS very pumped to see that there were already text books in his desk! He CAN'T WAIT to get to work! He's just like his mama!
After back-to-school night we kicked back and enjoyed many laughs with our friends the Everaards! We went out to eat and then went back to their house for some much needed playtime and girl talk! Can't you tell how much fun we had!?!? I'm not gonna lie...while we were in the car we even cranked up some loud music and rocked out old school style! You just can't pass up memories like these.
