brainiac

Yesterday, Ash had been in his room entertaining himself very quietly. Which happens to be one of Ashtyn's FAVORITE things to do, by the way! He loves being quiet and having "alone time". After quite awhile by himself Ash carried a notebook and three dinosaur skeleton toys into the living room. He sat down, lined up his dinosaur skeletons on the coffee table and told me that he had something he wanted to tell me. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that Ash had sat in his room, examined his dino skeletons and wrote down three "observations" for each one! Huh!? Who is this kid!?!? He proceeded to read his observations to me. They ranged everywhere from how many teeth a certain dinosaur had to the shape of its nostrils and even if it had a crest on the top of its skull. Ash always tells us he wants to be a "science-tist" when he grows up and while, as a mommy I know he can be anything he wants, after this display of brains and patience I think he's most definitely on his way to a science career. I love him so much.
