just call me super

Maddox's teacher has a behavior chart in his folder that she puts a star on for each day of school that your child has good behavior. Maddox LOVES this kind of thing! He's definitely a "positive reinforcement" kind of kid. Maddox told me literally the FIRST week of school that if he got a star every single day of the week then on Friday he gets to choose something out of the classroom treasure chest. Now THAT'S motivation! Well, I'm proud to announce that the first week of school Maddox got a star every single day and sure enough got to make a trip to the treasure chest! He chose a rainbow slinky and played with it the entire afternoon and evening. That poor slinky got turned into and used for more things then I can even count. One of them, of course, was a rainbow colored muscle! Ha! Maddox was so proud of his creativity and his BIG MUSCLES of course!

At school this week, Maddox also learned this year's themed school song in music class. The school's theme for the year is "Super Hero". All of the hallway bulletin boards at the school and t-shirts and anything else you can think of are all super hero themed and try to instill in the kids that they are super and special and can be a hero themselves! So, of course, the school's song for the year is also hero themed. Maddox performed it perfectly and I am so proud!

I think this school year is going to be a good one! Both the boys are at such fun ages and they're learning so much each and every day!
