On Tuesday, September 25 Noah and his new mommy and daddy got to go home from the hospital!!!! Rae and I got up early and ran to the grocery store for Kevin and Karianne before heading to their house. Thankfully, we arrived before them so we were able to open the house, put away the groceries and get settled before they arrived. I clearly remember what it was like when I FINALLY got to go home after having a baby and I could see that relief in Kevin and Karianne too. It's just so comforting to be able to be in your own space and in your own bed. One of the funnest things to do with your new baby when you first get home is dress them up in all the cute outfits you received as gifts before they were born! I had bought this adorable knit hat that looks like a lion for James while Karianne was pregnant and it was so neat that I got to see him in it! Adorable!
While Karianne and Kevin got used to being at home as a family of three I would sometimes entertain Noah and play with him. On this afternoon I really got him belly laughing and it was SO awesome! I love babies laughs!
I knew my sister and brother-in-law would be great parents but until I saw them in action I couldn't have known just how wonderful they would be. My baby sister is taking to motherhood like an old pro and I couldn't be more proud!
