"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

big brother
Convergence for me this year was a whirlwind! I mostly helped Chelsea behind the scenes and was put in charge of the volunteer green room. I was excited about my job and loved doing it but couldn't have imagined how much work it was going to be. First of all, Crossroads Church is huge and I was running from one end to the other for two days straight! From the volunteer green room, to the ice machine on the other end of the building, to the staff green room at the other corner and back again! Whew! I wouldn't, though, have traded it for the world! I love working events and even though I couldn't feel my feet by the end of the night I loved every second. Above it all, I think one of my favorite parts of the weekend was watching Seth play with my little nephew, Noah. Seth is such a great "big brother" to my kids and he obviously has a knack for it with all little ones. Noah thought he was hilarious and Seth most definitely knew what he was doing!
