"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

take a picture...it'll last longer
Bath time has always been one of my favorite times with my boys. I loved washing them in the kitchen sink as infants, sitting by the tub while they splashed around in the tub while they were toddlers and teaching them how to wash their own hair in the shower as they got a bit older. Now, at ages 6 and 8 my boys both shower themselves without any help (except when Maddox forgets to rinse the shampoo out of his hair...) and so now I have to enjoy the after shower moments with my boys. Sometimes I have to take what I can get and might have to endure Maddox running up and down the hallway completely naked trying to "dry off in the wind" as he says...while other times I treasure the sweet moments when Ash wraps himself in his froggy hooded towel and finds me in the kitchen to give me a hug with his crazy towel hair! I love each of these moments and commit them all to memory. Time is flying.
