"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

god broke the mold
When I went to the store to get a Thanksgiving gift for the boys' teachers I was almost out of luck. Apparently, looking for Thanksgiving themed items the week before Thanksgiving is nearly impossible. The store was already decked out for Christmas and nearly every isle was filled with red and green EVERYTHING! Luckily, after much hunting, I found ONE lowly isle of picked over and broken Thanksgiving items. There was hardly anything left so my options were limited but luckily when I saw these Thanksgiving cookie cutters an idea popped int my head! The boys each took a set of cookie cutters to their teachers and we attached a note that said "God broke the mold when He made you a teacher. I'm thankful for you!" and the boys signed their own names. I think they turned out perfect! Simple and perfect! Happy Thanksgiving Mrs. McMahill and Mrs. Cornelius!
